Your research workflow on the platform

InvestingSamjho has a full suite of tools for fundamental analysis. Here's your map:

1. Equity Catalog (/catalog)

  • Browse all 4,400+ listed companies
  • Filter by sector, industry, or listing group
  • Each company has a scrip code (e.g. 500325 for Reliance)
  • Click any entity to see its full dossier

2. Company Dossier (Entity Page)

This is where you'll spend most of your time. Once you open a company, you'll see:

Tab/Card What it shows
Stock Overview Card Latest metrics at a glance — PE, ROE, Net Margin, Market Cap
Financial Statements P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow (quarterly + annual)
Metrics Explorer 70+ ratios charted over time with 9 preset views
Valuation History Price × P/E × P/S × P/B chart with corporate action adjustments
Shareholding Pattern 5-year promoter/FPI/MF/retail composition
Announcements Recent company filings
Investor Presentations PDF decks from earnings seasons
Earnings Call Transcripts Conference call PDFs
Corporate Actions Stock splits, bonus issues, dividends

3. Screener (/screener-v2)

The screener lets you filter ALL 4,400 companies by financial criteria:

  • Example: "Show me companies with Revenue Growth > 15% AND ROCE > 20%"
  • 74 screening fields available (margins, ratios, growth rates, valuations)
  • 18 built-in presets (Quality, Growth, Value, etc.) — try them!
  • Toggle between quarterly and annual data
  • Choose Standalone or Consolidated
  • Save your screens for later use

4. Compare Stocks (/compare)

Compare 2–10 companies side-by-side on 30+ financial metrics:

  • Pick companies from the same sector for peer comparison
  • See who has better margins, growth, and capital efficiency

5. Metrics Explorer

Available on every company's entity page. It shows:

  • 9 one-click presets: Margins, Return Ratios, Leverage, Growth, Cash Flow, Efficiency, Valuation, Per Share, DuPont
  • Select any individual metric to chart
  • Dual-axis charting (e.g., Revenue on left, Margin % on right)
  • Data table below the chart

6. Investment Funnel (/funnel) — Coming soon

Your personal pipeline for moving from discovery → research → conviction:

  • Saved screens (persistent)
  • Watchlists with pipeline stages
  • Candidate queue for pre-research triage
  • Smart alerts on financial triggers

7. Research Workspace (/research)

For deeper analysis (you'll use this in Week 12):

  • Structured research notes
  • Thesis builder with conviction tracking
  • Templates for different analysis types
  • Source vault for linking evidence

Key takeaway

The platform gives you the data — financial statements, 70+ computed metrics, peer comparisons, valuation charts, and screening tools. Your job from Weeks 04–08 is learning how to interpret all of this. "Data toh hai — ab samajhna seekho."
